Ferrari reacted to the 1966 defeat by developing an evolution of the 330 P3 model, the 330 P4. Equipped with the 4-liter V12 engine, the P4 debuted with a spectacular victory at the 1967 Daytona 24 Hours. The 330 P4 was brought to the track in coupé and spyder versions, exactly as had happened with the P3. Although defeated again at Le Mans by Ford, Ferrari brought the constructors' world title back to Maranello. At the end of 1967, yet another regulations change that from 1968 reduced the prototypes displacement to 3 liters, ended the career of the 330 P4.
