The Angel Interceptor is a single-seat fighter developed by International Engineering based on the World Army Air Force's 'Viper' Jet, but the Angel's final blueprint is vastly different from the original Viper, having been specially adapted to Cloudbase's requirements. The aircraft is 18.29m long and precision-built. It is incredibly compact and has additional electronic instruments and huge fuel tanks that allow the aircraft to complete any mission without refuelling. Three Angel Interceptors are always ready on the launch pad at Cloudbase for immediate take-off. Access to the cockpit is by hydraulic lift from the Cloudbase Amber Room up through the fuselage of the aircraft, so that the pilot is thrown into the cockpit with her seat. Instruments and visors are arranged so that the pilot can see them clearly and have all-round visibility. The craft is equipped with an autopilot behind the pilot's seat.
