This scale model of the 1:43 Jaguar Mk VII is a replica of the car that won the Daily Express International Trophy in the British Touring Car Championship at Silverstone in 1952. It was driven by Stirling Moss and also won the same event in 1953, also in a Jaguar MK VII. Between 1952 and 1962, Jaguar won the trophy every year, but not with the same Jaguar.
This Oxford model is finished in Birch Grey with a black chassis and has the race number 30 on the doors, the wing on the side of the front wing and the rear of the boot. Registered as LWK 343, the car has no wing mirrors for racing purposes and the bodywork has been slightly modified with cut-outs in the rear wheel arches. The wheels have also been modified as racing wheels without centre caps and the headlights also feature the authentic white masking of the original. Additional details include silver chrome bumpers, grille and silver window surrounds. Inside, the seats, floor and door panels are all mid-blue and the interior is finished with a brown dashboard and door panels.
